Welcome to our new Gallery store and our Carol Frederick Collection.
A MARRIAGE OF ART AND TECHNOLOGY
Carol Chapman and Fred Slautterback have created a unique line of jewelry based on their original artwork and precision manufacturing technology. This "wearable art" is offered in a series of design themes.
Carol and Fred are professional artists. Carol was a graduate of Smith College and also studied at the Kansas City Art Institute and The Art Student's League, New
York City. Carol's art is internationally recognized and was carried by Christie's Contemporary Art in Tokyo, London and New York. Fred has an extensive background in engineering.
The rings are machined from titanium. The other jewelry is machined from aluminum then finished with a clear anodized coating that wil not mark fabrics.
They are lightweight and comfortable to wear. Each pendant is engraved with the
CFC logo.
The mixed media artwork is sealed in a jeweler's polymer resin. The resin is crack proof, water and scratch resistant and self-healing.
Each pendant comes with a choice of a colored leather cord or sterling choker. The cords and chokers are interchangeable and available in several lenghts. The cord
clasp, the “FAS-Clasp", is a revolutionary, easy to use, design invented by Fred.
Carol and Fred live and work on the Monterey Peninsula, California where their studios are located. |
